DASH:
A pretty standard Motec Superbike bike, which has been adapted for the Mugen to show things like the SOC, which means state of charge, or how much battery you have left. It also shows basic things like the motor rpm, speed, inverter temperature, motor temperature and battery temperature. The riders don’t actually have to pay any attention to them lthough, as they set the limits for the temperature and if it gets close to those levels it will go into a safe mode. The rider has no buttons to push either, so even if they want to change a map, it can be pre-set via GPS. Their philosophy is to give the rider nothing to concentrate on, but what’s in front of him.
ENGINE:
It may only have one moving part, but you have 200nm torque available instantly, with about 150bhp at the rear wheel. As the bike is electric, there’s no need for a gearbox either, as you’ll always be in the correct rev range for instant power. The engine and power delivery are so smooth, that Mugen only run a 510 chain.
