Ouch…You stupid boy!

I stand clutching my index finger with claret dripping liberally onto the floor, my overwhelming feeling, apart from the literal stabbing pain in my finger, is of the utter stupidity of my plight. This is the second time I have injured a hand in the last year, so I should have learned something by now.
