HSTs in flux

IT was in August 2017 when Great Western Railway handed back the first of its HST sets to Angel Trains, although the first appearance of a Class 800 IET in passenger service did not take place until a few weeks later.

Since the release of the first two power cars, Nos. 43021/132, more than 50 have now been returned to Angel Trains prior to transfer to ScotRail.

The 54 power cars destined for use by ScotRail are in the process of being put through Brush, Loughborough, where they are being overhauled and reliveried into ScotRail colours. In addition,
