December 4 target set for B1 Mayflower comeback

WITH its repaint completed, by the time this issue is published David Buck’s B1 4-6-0 No. 61306 Mayflower should be on the move, within the confines of Carnforth yard at least, as part of the build-up to its return to main line running.

According to David, his locomotive now looks“tremendous”in its second coat of lined-out LNER apple green.

After running up and down in the yard, the locomotive will need balancing
