BATHROOMS

We love the infinitylike illusion created by the use of the same tiles for both the floor and walls.

BATHING BEAUTY

“For this design, the flagship Sydney studio for Modulnova, which originated in Italy, wanted to recreate some of the distinctive style and visual sophistication and luxury the company is widely known for throughout Europe. Being a new build, with such spectacular views to Phillip Island and beyond, it wasn’t too difficult to decide what materials and fixtures would enhance the already ideal setting. Bringing the raw vitality of the seaside into the room, the vanity rendered in cement resin, exclusive to Modulnova, mimics the smooth, ageless contours of the ocean. The beautifully sculptural tapware by Gessi is equally inspired by the flow of water, as are the basins and bath into which it flows. The unique warmth and undulating individuality of the shoreline landscape is captured by the raw-stone Travertine-styled tiles used lavishly on both the walls and floor. This design is an impressive paean to the beauty of nature.”

Designers: Modulnova Sydney Studio and Selwyn Blackstone, Architect
