    •6.5mm circular needle 40cm, or dpns, or two 60cm circular needles for two circulars technique, or one 80cm or longer circular needle for Magic loop technique, or size to obtain gauge. (If using 40cm circular, switch to dpns when hat gets smaller at the crown.)
