Keeping Cool this Summer!

Some people see knitting as just a wintertime hobby; however, addicted knitters knit anywhere, any way and any time. As the summer hots up, keep your cool this summer and keep knitting!

There are a few secrets to make your knitting still a pleasure in the hotter weather. Use lightweight yarns and metal or bamboo knitting needles as plastic is not suitable. Knitting with cotton is one of the easiest options – with the yarn lightweight, durable and some gorgeous summer colours to work with.

Look out for patterns that have that easy, summer look – remembering that cotton yarn is mainly availablea sensational garment with the wonderful colour choice available. Cotton yarn is a classic for summer knitting and looks great knitted up into sleeveless tops, lightweight shawls; and will even make a splash as a knitted beach bag.
