WEAR & TEAR

Top-end wear is endemic. Oil leak (left-hand side), burning gear oil (right-hand side) or poor starting (all) means crank seal issues. Tap seals go hard with time. Rear indicators often damaged. Main stand tubes wear and/or seize.

ELECTRICS

Corrosion and oxidation will have taken their toll along with trapped cables and damaged insulation.

ENGINE

Seizure, rumbling big ends and high crank wear all known issues. Lead balance weights pressed into the flywheel can loosen locking motor solid; a favourite on project bikes or untouched engines.

GEARBOX/CLUTCH

Second gear can fail due to bent selector forks. Gear linkages pins wear. Clutch actuators weak
