Monobloc washers
Reading a December 2015 copy of CBG, given to me by my biking buddy, I came across an article by Richard Negus: ‘How to refurbish an old Amal monobloc carburettor’.
The article was interesting with some useful information, but there seemed to be a problem with the float not rising high enough to close the float needle/fuel inlet.
It appears he made the common mistake of fitting a fibre washer between the float needle holder and the float chamber body.
