RECENTLY, I MANNED the stall at a local event and had a great time chatting about motorcycles with the punters. I’m not entirely convinced it was even a bike show, but a good time seemed to be had by all, especially me. Nattering with a couple of young lads (‘does that old heap even use petrol, grandad?’ etc) who told me just how darned difficult and yes, expensive it is to even obtain a riding licence these days, made me realise just how free and easy it was in
