A brief chat with... Alastair Alexander PRESIDENT ELECT OF THE VMCC

Alastair Alexander has been involved in and with the vintage motorcycle scene since many of the bikes we cherish as classics were just regarded as second-hand or old. “I couldn’t wait to get on the road,” he said “and took my test about eight weeks after my 16th birthday in 1965.” Since then Alastair has had all sorts of motorcycles, some classic, some vintage and some regarded as modern. “I just think they are motorcycles rather than a particular type and it was interesting to find the VMCC membership have an interest in a wide variety of machinery from all nations, not just British iron.”
