A brief chat with... BRIAN CRICHTON

A chance discovery of a motorcycle newspaper being part of the publishing group a young Brian Crichton was working for set him on the path to being one of the most respected journalists in our field.

There aren’t many readers of motorcycle papers or magazines who won’t have heard of Brian. Perhaps one or two will raise an eyebrow at his given name, but mention ‘Badger’ and the fog will clear.

“That’s thanks to Bob Berry as in the days when he was editor of he coined the nickname and it’s stuck,” he grinned when asked about it. Brian goes on to say it can be a good thing to have such a nickname, as it means people remember you.
