Life in the slow lane
In most people’s lives there comes a time when he or she decides to slow down, to move away from the fast lane and just take things a little more leisurely. Geoff is one such person. A few years ago he took the decision to sell his modern sportsbike and slip back in time to an era before he was born, so he could experience the more genteel ways and excellent engineering of the 1930s. Even so, modern technology played a crucial role in his plans – searching online to find a suitable project.
Anyone who has performed a total restoration, starting with only a box of bits of unknown origin and quantity, knows it’s not easy. Geoff is quite a talented engineer so he was up to the task, and ‘slowing down’ didn’t cover his workshop sessions. He was more than up to the challenge.
