    ■ DARTMOOR CLOSURE: Passenger services between Okehampton and Bere Alston via Tavistock were withdrawn from May 6, leaving separate services to operate from Exeter to Okehampton and Plymouth to Gunnislake. Okehampton lost its passenger service in 1972, but the line remained open for stone traffic from nearby Meldon Quarry.
