Zero Black Forest ELECTRIC ADVENTURE

Let’s be honest here – you’ll be luckier than a lottery winner if you see a Zero Black Forest on the road anytime soon.

That’s largely because fewer than 100 examples of this funky bike are being made by the factory for this year. Which is a shame because what we have here is, essentially, an accessorised DSR model and because it’s a big bolt-on (if you allow us some licence with the term) it doesn’t require the costly and time-consuming process of re-homologation.

The Black Forest was launched in March and as you read this the first production examples are expected to be hitting dealers.

The bike is comparatively pricey with it costing €21,980 in Germany including 19% local tax (€18,790 for the stock DSR) but think about it – what you have here is an electric go-anywhere rival to a BMW F800GS or R1200GS. That’s a big deal.
