The broad overview of the adventure bike market shows perhaps more shapes and sizes than any other category and the prices range from under 10 grand to over $30,000. You can get anything from a 250cc to a 1200 and embrace technology ranging from a simple air-cooled single-cylinder engine to selfadjusting suspension and lean angle sensors. You can buy European or Japanese and in most cases you can even dress to match your machine and find a world where the flip-up helmet is still acceptable.
But for the pure dirt rider, not all bikes are equal. For the rider who wants to take it off the track and away from the road, there are clearer choices than those that concern the weekend cruiser. You can find adventure on just about any bike but some need to be guarded more than others.
