• 33 x 89cm (13 x 35in) 28-count Jobelan evenweave fabric (or equivalent) in Ivory

• DMC Stranded Embroidery Cotton in Dark Lavender (209), Very Dark Violet (550), Medium Violet (552), Violet (553), Light Pale Yellow (745), Very Dark Hazelnut Brown (869), Medium Plum (917), Medium Sea Green (959), Light Sea Green (964), Light Plum (3607), Very Dark Sea Green (3812) and Dark Teal Green (3847)

• Size 26 tapestry needle

• Lampshade kit for a shade with diameter 20cm (8in) – Shannan used a kit from 3Chooks; if you’re not using a 3Chooks kit, you’ll need all the items listed in Step 1

• Roller or Q-snap frame (optional)

• Masking tape

• Fray Check or equivalent liquid sealant

• 15 clothes pegs

• White fluffy towel

• Clean ruler

• General sewing supplies
