MATERIALS

• Fabrics A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, AA, CC

• Template plastic and fine-point permanent-marking pen

• Cardboard

• 45 pre-cut 1in hexagons or stiff paper/ light cardboard to make your own

• Appliqué pins or glue

• Erasable fabric-marking pen

• Spray starch

• Freezer paper

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot

• General sewing supplies

ORANGE PEEL – BLOCK 8A

1 From Fabric AA, cut: • One rectangle, 6 1/2 x 18 1/2in (background).

2 Trace the large ‘leaf’ shape from the Pattern Sheet onto template plastic using a fine-point permanent-marking pen. Cut it out on the traced line. Use it to make a matching template from cardboard.

3 Lay the plastic template on the wrong side of each of Fabrics A, B, C, D, E, F, I, N, P, Q, R and T and trace around it with the fabric-marking pen. Cut
