Baby Bear, as Goldilocks so convincingly proved, got it just right. Not too hot, not too cold. Not too high, not too low. Not too hard, not too soft. Just right.
This is Baby Bear’s Multistrada. The smallest Multistrada is not too roadie, not too adventury. Not too high-tech, not too low-tech.
Not too big, not too small. Not too tall, not too short. And certainly not too expensive, not at around 20 grand ride-away. After about 2500km on it, I’m convinced it has established the sweet spot for Multistrada design.
I’ve spent a lot of time on Multistradas and have developed a real affinity for Papa Bear’s 1200 Enduro, but the Goldilocks inside me is telling me I’m wrong. You see, even though the new 950 and mighty 1200 Enduro are at opposite ends of the Multistrada spectrum, they have crucial commonalities. Ditto in the relationship between the 950 and the road-oriented 1200. The 950 has cherrypicked the best of the range to become the most rider-friendly of the lot, and it sweetens the deal with its delightful engine.
