Eight natural hair products to give your locks some loving

The Body Shop's Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (HK$69/250ml) and Conditioner (HK$69/250ml) can help get rid of those pesky white flakes and itchy scalp. Ginger extracthas antibacterial properties that can prevent skin inflammation, but these products are not for those who dislike the rhizome's distinctive smell.

There is no need to scrutinise the back of the bottle to find out what ingredients Three's Scalp & Hair Orderange Shampoo (HK$275/250ml) and Conditioner (HK$300/165 grams) contain as they are listed in capital letters on the front. Essential oils, including tea tree, bergamot and cranberry, give off a refreshing scent while restoring radiance to your hair.

Bleaching, colouring and perming can damage hair. To revive your overprocessed mane, try John Masters Organics' Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructing Shampoo (HK$295/177ml), followed by the Hair Reconstructor (HK$310/118ml), which is an intense conditioner that hydrates your locks. Unlike most organic shampoos, you can still form a rich lather with this one.

To give fine hair a lift or to restore bounce to locks weighed down by humidity, go for OMG's Airy Shampoo (HK$330/250ml) and Treatment (HK$380/250 grams). Available at couchpotato.store, the products contain a high concentration of argan fruit stem cells, which can penetrate the cuticle and repair the cortex inside.
