PENTAX launched the original K-1 in February 2016. Two years on, it’s launched a new a new version with an accelerator unit for better high-ISO performance; a new Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution mode to capture super-detailed shots; and improvements to its autofocus algorithms.
The K-1 II does not have the highest resolution of any fullframe camera by any means, but with 36.4 million pixels and a price tag well under £2,000/$2000, it offers a lot of image quality for the money.
