uch of the art of photography is reactive, in the sense that you apply your creative choices to the subject or scene that nature serves up. You see a great view, and you respond by picking the best angle, focal length and exposure settings to capture it. M

But there’s an alternative approach to image-making that can be just as rewarding – and it really makes you think about the fundamentals of creating a picture. Instead of reacting to what you see, you create an entirely new scene from scratch, determining the position of every element.
