David Haugh: Alshon Jeffery heads to the Super Bowl: Why didn't the Bears ever replace him?

To be fair, Alshon Jeffery never specified which team would make his prediction on the first day of 2017 come true.

Only that he would be on it.

"I guarantee you we will win the Super Bowl next year," Jeffery declared Jan. 1, 2017.

The wide receiver was sitting in the visitors locker room at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis as a member of the Bears, still stinging from their 13th loss, when he uttered those words - more famous now that Jeffery will dress in the same quarters Feb.
