David Haugh: In adding NBA's youngest 66-year-old to front office, Bulls get smarter

CHICAGO - As big of a surprise as it was Tuesday for the Bulls to name Doug Collins a senior advisor, the real stunner came when the emotional NBA lifer got through the entire news conference without tearing up.

A contemplative Collins arrived at the Advocate Center wearing a wide smile, designer blue jeans, black running shoes and an untucked long-sleeved shirt, the coolest grandpa in town excited about imparting his basketball knowledge to a Bulls organization that will be better for it.
