Chris Cornell, Lead Singer Of Soundgarden And AudioSlave, Dies At 52

Cornell died Wednesday night in Detroit, his representative said in a statement to NPR. Brian Bumbery called the death "sudden and unexpected" and said the singer's wife and family were shocked by it.

Chris Cornell gained fame as the lead singer to the grunge band Soundgarden and later with Audioslave.
