About this series

Men generally say sin is just sin, but maturity teaches us there is a wrong that you can commit before God that will ravage through a blood linage or descent for generations until it is stopped and yet there is a wrong that can only affect the one who has committed it. Yet there is a wrong that leads to death. So such wrong if not pored upon and exhumed can travel generations and be a stronghold for descents of a person and end up being a familiar spirit in that family. Terah worshipped idols and so brought barrenness and premature death or abortion to Abraham.

Romans 9:13 KJV As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Genesis 25:23 KJV And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

So the family of Abraham went through a cursed life due to a specific kind of wrong. That is why we need to be careful and unearth the character of sin, to understand our linage and where we come from and what effects does our past carry against our lives. We do not just become, David was from a family of sons and soldiers. And when you are born of God the Holy Bible says you are a new creature and the issue is, are we indeed born of God? For salvation encompass a number of things, redemption just do not mean possessing but also deliverance and the true experience of Christ through conviction and acceptance of being a sinner as much as liberation of our past.

Meaning for us to have power over sin we should be indeed totally delivered of sin, as when we evangelise to the dying world we should be delivered of the world. Though many can find many ways of justifying this, we cannot take people where we cannot take self or have been.

Exodus 34:7 KJV Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

According to the above scripture there is a form and even names for the kinds of wrong men can commit before God or against other men. As per the above scripture three kinds of wrong are elaborately used in one sentence, meaning they each carry a certain specific characteristics to be classified; as means one from another. Here we do not put weight or scale to sin but rather explain the variables that will help us pray and bring clarity to our walk with Him. By so saying we get to understand the impact in our lives of wronging God and the scalar of the impact we can put on our lives and the lives of others.

When iniquity ravages a family, where ever they go the iniquity follows them that is if they are sold to witchcraft until they are loosed of witchcraft it will go through the family not by choice but by linage. When one dies it passes to another, whether they want it or not until a curse breaker arises. Just like Abraham's family served idols and for some generations barrenness followed them.

Joshua 24:2 KJV And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods

The results of Terah's spiritual harlotry mapped a curse of seedless women that prayer had to be done for them to give birth. Yet when they gave birth their sons rejected and betrayed each other.

Sin can be vividly divided in to the following three groups according to their character and effect:

1. Iniquity

2. Transgression

3. Sin

One thing has concerned me over the years about the Sabbath, because there are those who shun it and those who keep it. Yet there is none that can give you a vivid explanation of why they keep it or do not keep it. The key reason being because God kept it or sanctified it or for the one who shun it would say it is Old Covenant. And yet there are those who will simply tell you Christ is their Sabbath and the question becomes, how did a day become a man? Does even Christ say that he is the Sabbath or it is just an excuse to avoid the reality of the knowledge of the Sabbath escaping our notion? To the utter dismay of many, the Sabbath is only a day younger than Adam and began in His time and season. Meaning it comes from way before the Old Covenant and this book is not about keeping or not keeping it but it is the book that explains the Sabbath; its origination, inception, power and effects on man. This book is a product of the message of the same title. That the counsel of the Holy Spirit led me to understanding that in fulfilling and failure to fulfil our destinies we do not just in part but at times totally destroy destinies of others. Whenever a king was destroyed in the times of the Holy Bible, his children were either totally destroyed or brought to the palace for guided service. The emphasis being as of the generation of those who served under Lucifer, in case they may rise and overpower. ISAIAH 14:20-21 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. This elaborates the danger of a rebellion has to be dealt with by a total annihilation, or the seed of the fathers may be a snare to the sons of promise. The most often forgotten and unanticipated reality is that out of our lack of commitment and out of our there disdain we paint vistas in the spirit of how next generations shall be regarded. It is in the mistake of Joshua and the Israelites that a seed of discord was planted among them and became a snare to the destiny of Israel as a people. JOSHUA 9: 3-10 And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai, They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up; And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy. And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us. And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you? And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? And from whence come ye? And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt, And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.

Idols in our lives are like the spirit of slavery, when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt they desired above the Promised Land the servant hood to Egyptians. They said to him, we were fed with onions, melons and leeks which were not theirs but belonged to the Egyptians or the devil in short, for they served foreign gods. It mean they were satisfied with seeing the great things of the Egyptian and being given the rejects of the onions and leeks were satisfied with the little that was of the abundance that did not belong to them. It means Israel in slavery got used to admiring and growing other people's things. They did not get used to building or erecting anything that is theirs. They did not want to build their own big houses, even when they were fed with manna from heaven, though heavenly and superior to human food, they desired flesh and melons. For whatever was rightfully theirs, they attached it to inferiority as the inferiors of Egypt. They failed to see themselves as giants of the land of Canaan. They desired flesh of this world instead of manna from heaven so they became a burden not just to themselves but even to Moses their leader. Numbers 11:10-14/KJV Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased. And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? And wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me? Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers? Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat. I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me. The slave mentality does not just burden the bearer but even their leader. It teaches one to be a parasite, to be dependent on their leader even for things they can do themselves. It taught the Israelites not to set traps and catch food but rather look unto Moses, this is a spirit that must be dealt with and cast out of any congregation of Christ, we must not build idols of hope or providence to ourselves or our brothers. We are not to idolise our leaders or our provision. For when we build idols for our provision or faith we fail to focus on God because we know there is something between you and God. They used to being fed and limited to their masters' provision. They were the left over specialists of Egypt and so it settled in them that they are not supposed to have but rather to be parasites of their masters. They did not want to build their own church, their own houses, and their own societies but wanted to be slaves and be temporary occupants of everything. Even now a church that does not want to grow and become does the same thing. They do not read the word for themselves but depend on the pastor. They do not want the signs to follow them but their pastor. They do not want to give birth to the young but their pastor and so it is all about their pastor and they end up idolising him/her and so make him an idol that diverts them from God.

There is a thing that should trouble any child of God; silence. As a child of God you cannot afford to be silent, as the express image of Christ we should be characterised by the simile of Christ. OF ALL His attributes as from Genesis 1 we get to understand God through His creative power that is the power of His Word. SO THROUGH narrating the re-unfolding of earth and its heavens we get to understand God can speak before we know any other thing about Him. Out of the mystery of void and formlessness we get.Genesis1:1-2 KJV In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The word translated moved is a non-active: rachaph רָחַף (annunciation: raw-khaf') meaning; to brood as over lays or to stand upon in guard and also meaning; to be relaxed (by implication). So the first active we hear or read of God in the Holy Bible is His audibility, or the power of His words "let there be".Being the express image of God, our power is also in the tongue as His is. That is why the book of Proverbs says the tongue of the wise is health. It means our words have the power to make well or to collapse us. So the unspoken word is like the piercings of the wicked tongue, it does not build. So we construct by our words. Our daily confessions, what we call our life becomes our lives and what we call our children become our children. We should refuse to believe not just in quietness but in word for words made the world all that was originally created is the product of words.Proverbs 12:18 KJV There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.Proverbs 15:4 KJV A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. So still the book Proverbs says as man thinketh so he is. Our hearts should pour out what we think for it is what manufacture us in the physical. Physical words bring physical things in to being. Thus words mingled with faith as the material all that we desire.

The Now Word: Growers Series, #5

The current word is not just an essential part of the Christian's life but the most crucial and key thing in it. You cannot say you are truly Christian when you do not carry the current word or rhema. Rhema is the present word that is proceeding out of the Lord's mouth for you. Your prayer life, your spiritual growth and even your placing in the church needs that. You do not have to read the written word to know where to serve in the church or who you are supposed to be in the church. You need the rhema which is the current word that proceedeth out of His mouth specifically for you. The Holy Bible says man shall live by every word that proceedeth from out of God's mouth. It is in the present, which means what God is specifically saying to you about your life as of now, as of this year and as of this month. Matthew 4:4 AKJV But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The above statement carries a surprise and a wonder. Jesus does not say every man shall live by the said word. But by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God; and His statement is current as means is in the present meaning as Christians we should live our lives by what God is currently saying about our lives. Not the written word, meaning the written word is an outline of relationship but we must know what He is saying about all our cases and all our situations and petitions now. The now word or the rhema or the current word is divisible in many forms but the initial issue is, it does not matter how God talks to you or through who or what to you but we must know His current mind for us as of now. When we go in to prayer it should be about what God is doing in lives. When we go in to fasting especially supernatural does as exceeds three days and more, ewe should have the word of God about it. That was the key principle of Christ's ministry, He said whatever He saw God the Father do He too does it. Meaning because our lives are seasoned and timed by God, we should know what he is saying we should be at and are ripe for in time and so fulfil it with ease. Ephesians 2:10 KJV For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. John 10:9 KJV I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 5:19 KJV Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. The simplicity of Christ's ministry was not in the power he owns but in doing the will of the one who sent Him. For he knew when He set Him he sent Him with the fulness of His Spirit or the Spirit without measure. So when we are in the current word, we lose measure and do wondrous things, for it is God speaking or expressing those things through us.

IN the Old Testament one man Nehemiah had the mammoth task of building a stone wall around the city of God. It was an impossible task to achieve by one man and one that drew critics. Nehemiah understood the principle of the stone wall and what it meant not just to the defence but the dignity of Israel as the church of God.The collapse of the defence of the stone wall of Israel meant the nakedness and shaming of God's people. It meant God has abandoned them as the mortar that holds the stonewall together. But the man Nehemiah understood and so purposed in his heart to build the stone wall of Jerusalem and knew that in turn it will facilitate the rebuilding of the temple of God. For Zerubbabel to rise and build the temple Nehemiah had to first build the stonewall as a symbol of its defence, even for us to build the church of God today we need to be living stones of God bonded together by the mortar of His love.Until and unless we learn to be bonded together to function effectively as one body, even as a single church the great commission has no stonewall to be built within. And where there is no defence we build for the enemy to come and take in our slumber. So the stonewall was for the monitoring of what comes in and out of Jerusalem, to monitor the spiritual life of the church of God and to surround the sacred place for worship and offering to God.Before the church or an organisation can gather and build a home, it has to build the stonewall, or the hedge of limitation. In the Biblical times the stone walls were the sole way to protect cities from raiding bands and their enemies. Whenever the enemy provoked the people to war they would shut themselves within their city so that the enemy may break through the wall or die trying to, but the defence of the city depended on the wall. Nehemiah 1:3 KJV And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.Every relationship and every 'new building' you construct in your life should thus have a specific purpose. For whatever is built without a purpose do not just add clutter but also brings with it interference. Meaning it displaces reason with idleness and all that is aimed at nothing should be put to nothing in your life. It is not just things but even people, if they add or compliment nothing it means they are cluttering and even draining everything.Every person needs to be part of a stonewall in their lives. Be part of a stonewall at work, in church, in your family and a worthy germ in your personal life. Purpose and polish yourself to be great. Do not be afraid to be great, some are born great but some achieve greatness or else you be a victim to someone else' greatness as it gets thrashed on you. Until you are defined to yourself at what you do, seeking goals and doing anything you have nothing to protect or to perfect yourself for.
