I thought having to throw out the first pitch of the minor league championship was my biggest worry, but sabotage may have cost the Tampa Tigers a victory. The only one who saw the crime take place? Their mascot, Timmy. A real tiger. When Persephone and I are called in to solve the case, things get complicated in a hurry. Duke, his old hound dog, is the only one who witnessed the crime. That's where Persephone and I come in. Now we're on our way to Nashville to find the guitar. I'm a little—make that a lot—nervous about calling myself a professional crime solver. Included in my list of suspects are an obsessed fan, a hotshot singer looking to blaze his own path, and a disgruntled ex-nanny. But this unlikely crew might turn out to be my secret weapons. Because Duke doesn't like newcomers so much. He's set in his ways, just like his human dad. Persephone and I think the old hound might be protecting the thief. Losing the guitar could end Benson's career, but finding it might cost him so much more… 

There's no such thing as a typical day at Helping Paws Animal Shelter, and this wasn't the first time I've had a soggy box waiting for me on the doorstep with a disgruntled cat inside. However, this was the first time the cat talked to me. What did the barista put in my coffee? Persephone insists she's been catnapped, and she's witnessed an art heist. There's a huge reward for the safe return of the painting, and that money could go a long way to helping all our animals find their forever homes. Now I have to convince the gallery owner and her associates—including the suspicious but adorable Henry the Hottie—that I can find the priceless painting. I don't know a thing about art, but here I am, at an exhibit opening, wearing a dress called Lucky and co-conspiring with a talking cat. Typical days? They're a thing of the past, especially if Persephone and I can crack the case and catch the thief.  

I always dreamed of being a part of my favorite show, Parking Lot Potluck, but I never expected them to ask me to help solve a murder. Someone poisoned a dish on the popular cooking competition show. The host is dead and my favorite judge is in critical condition. The only one who witnessed the crime was Great Dane, Chloe. Persephone and I are off to Seattle to solve the crime, but things are much different behind the scenes. Have the cast and crew been working on a recipe for deception, or was it a contestant with a case of sour grapes who's brought production to a halt? And Chloe isn't talking to my talking cat. Whatever I do, I have to keep my inner fangirl in check, or my favorite show could get eliminated for good.

Internet-famous cat Cupcake has been catnapped, and the only one who witnessed the crime is tabby Noodle. Cupcake's the main attraction at his person Rosamund's trinket shop, and she's reluctant to let people know he's gone. But Noodle's interested in being an only cat, and not even the best treats can persuade her to work with Persephone. Which means I'll have to rely on the humans to help us crack this case. Rosamund wants us to check out her ex and an old high school frenemy who's become a witch. But Rosamund's brother, who owns the themed motor inn we're staying at, doesn't like newcomers who ask too many questions. Neither does the police officer who's looking to become famous himself. Ransom notes are coming in, and I think that's our ticket to finding the catnapper. But when the notes start coming addressed to Persephone, I have a bad feeling we've been set up…
