Space Post Express Series
()
About this series
Tod and Phil, the reckless and adventurous Space Post Express couriers, have faced terrible dangers and survived to tell the tale. But in every space courier's career, there comes a time when they'll need to face their inner demons, the darkness they carry within. Or at least that's what Phil would try to tell his girlfriend, to describe this adventure in a way that would make him the hero.
For their next trick, Tod disappears and Phil has to find him following the trail his crazed cyborg friend has left. Tod first displays a variety of cyborg issues—that could be related to Tod's hardware or his software, Phil has no way to know—which include freezes and hallucinations, before finally vanishing into thin air, leaving behind cryptic notes he obtained through illegal means. But Phil sees that there's more to Tod's disappearance than just his characteristic lack of sanity.
Will Phil get to the bottom of his only friend's disappearance, or is there no bottom to this mystery? And who are these men in black suits following Tod's trail?
Titles in the series (3)
- S.P.E. 01 – Dude in the dunes: Space Post Express, #1
1
The Space Post Express couriers deliver all kinds of parcels around the known (and unknown) galaxy, at affordable prices, no questions asked! Tod and Phil, though, take their job one step further. The two friends take on the craziest jobs and have built quite the reputation for themselves. When they find themselves on a small desert planet, stranded, their spaceship crashed, they don't lose hope. They've been through worse, right? But Tod's secret is revealed, and Phil suddenly disappears. What is the desert planet's secret? Will the two couriers uncover the bigger picture before they're disintegrated by their invisible captor?
- S.P.E. 02 - Dead Dudes Tell No Tales: Space Post Express, #2
2
The two best (not really) couriers of Space Post Express, cyborg Tod and human Phil, are ready for another dull day at the job. To their elation, they're given a special mission—one where they'll need to accompany Ariana, the stunning officer that saved them last time, and Phil's (supposed) soulmate! Complications (predictably) arise when Phil, in his endless pursuit to impress Ariana, tries to "save" them from their "pursuers." Of course, that ends up with the unlikely trio stranded on an ex-prison planet taken over by its inmates—smugglers, slave traders, mobsters, and criminals of all kinds—and transformed into a pirate planet. Will they manage to complete their mission without blowing their covers, or will things blow up on their faces?
- S.P.E. 03 - Dude Gets Updated!: Space Post Express, #3
