About this series

Prepare for some heart-stopping moments as my best-selling lesbian romance series continues.

Meredith Asquith is a talented neurosurgeon at the top of her field. That is as much as anyone knows… but who really is the woman behind the scalpel? Is there nothing to tell, or too much to reveal?

When her professional path is crossed by Emily Porter, a beautiful young psychologist, whose job it is to assess the top surgeon's mental fitness to operate, Meredith's contained life begins to unravel, forcing devastating choices to be made

Sometimes the strongest forces of nature belie a very fragile truth… The only certainty is change.

Prepare for loss, angst but most of all hope in this slow burn medical romance with a sexy little age gap. Just when you think you know where life is taking you… think again.

Slow burn, lesbian age gap novel.

I love a good lesbian romance age gap book that highlights the personal growth of its characters. You also learn something about yourself while reading. I couldn't put it down once I read the first chapter. This is truly a gem I recommend everyone to read.

Prepare for some heart-stopping moments. My best-selling lesbian romance series starts here! When experienced Paramedic and soccer coach, Chrissie, is thrown together with much younger Sam, a twenty-four-year-old talented player and EMT, both at work and on the pitch, sparks fly! Unable to escape each other, what will it really take to get a winning combination in this slow burn, age gap, lesbian medical romance? Sam thinks her soccer coach is a hardass, but then she finds she will be her supervisor at work, too. Thrown together, they have to confront their own shortcomings in this steamy LGBTQ romance book. A sapphic romance book. Have you read my other sapphic romance novels in the City General: Medic 1 series? Love Trauma Diagnosis Love Open Heart Trails of The Heart Healing of The Heart Reviews 'Awesome read! What happens when your head overrides your heart by force to make the world look like you think it should? You act like an idiot and stomp around mad all the time. This is a beautiful story about what we don't want to admit to ourselves and how the heart gets what it wants anyway. Ruby Scott does this brilliantly.' M.Luria 'This is a new author to les/fic and she has a definite future with her writing! I really liked the story of Chrissie and Sam. Age/gap, enemies to—yes, you guessed it. Writing was really smooth and characters were well described. I enjoyed this one a lot. Note to the author—keep up the good work.' The Old One 'This is a fantastic start for this new author. Age gap romance, enemies, Chrissie and Sam, become much more than coach and player. And as co-workers they always seem to be at each other 's neck. Where will it end? Please read! I'm looking forward to more from this author.' Liz Honstine 'Ruby Scott has written a very engaging and fun to read enemies to lovers trope in her debut! The MCs Chrissie and Sam are at each other's throats both at work (as EMTs) and at play (one is the coach and one is a star player). Both dealing with heartbreak. Ruby expertly built up the conflict between them until something or someone had to give. It will leave you with a feel good feeling that will leave you wishing the book was even longer!' Prepare for some heart-stopping moments, as my best-selling lesbian romance series continues. Izzy Frost is a promising Cardio Surgical Resident at City General who has sacrificed everything to build her career. But everyone needs to let off steam and have a bit of fun, don't they? But what will a little fun cost Izzy? Izzy's fun comes in the shape of Cara O'Leary, a hot athletic EMT who has a huge appetite for fun, a crazy ex and no desire for love. Coming from very different backgrounds, the only thing they have in common is physical. What could possibly go wrong? A sapphic romance book. Have you read my other sapphic romance novels in the City General: Medic 1 series? Love Trauma Diagnosis Love Hot Response Trails of The Heart Healing of The Heart Reviews Hard to believe this is only this author's second sapphic romance book! Izzy and Cara meet and the drama begins. With this drama comes: decisions, secrets, lies, hot sex, family and friend reactions, and a lot of love! I really liked this book and I think you will too! Thanks Ruby, keep them coming! - Liz Honstine It was totally hot, I wouldn't have thought after reading the storyline that I would be touched that much. But that's exactly what happened. I was drawn into the story almost from the first page and wasn't able to put it down. It also made me cry sometimes but for me every book that does is a wonderful book and the author did a fantastic job. I honestly can't believe that this only is her second sapphic novel. I will definitely look out for more from her. - Conny This is the second lesbian romance book for this author. Enjoyed the first sapphic novel and this one is even better. Izzy is an up and coming heart surgeon who has no time for any thing but one night stands. Cara is a paramedic who is not looking for another relationship so soon after her last one failed. Life doesn't always give you what you want but will sometimes give you what you didn't know you wanted. This sapphic romance book has a lot to like: sweet sexy times, coming out hesitation, family love, a little angst and a little drama. I think you will enjoy this one, I sure did. Looking forward to reading more lesbian romance from this author. Thank you, Ruby, for sharing your words. - The Old One Loved it! I loved the chemistry between Cara and Izzy. I loved that they both thought their hookup was a one time thing. As often as they were getting together and the fact that feelings had come to play, they both were in deep, fast. I loved how the story unwind and led to the heartbreaking yet heartwarming conclusion. Quickly becoming a fan of Ruby Scott. - Gina

Prepare for some heart-stopping moments as my best-selling lesbian romance series continues. What happens when a connection comes along that makes you question who you are? A sexual awakening? Tara Hunter is a passionate, headstrong doctor, heading up the ER at the prestigious City General Hospital. She is also a divorcee, about to turn fifty and whose only passion in life comes from your work. And then Gabriella Ellis (Gabby) rides into her department. Playing by the rules isn't Gabby's forte; something which can land her in hot water, but she is talented, compassionate.   When the charitable medical programme, offering emergency care for the most disadvantaged, comes under threat, will they be able to leave their differences behind them to fight for a common goal? What other passions will be released?   Slow burn, lesbian romance age gap novel.   Have you read my other sapphic novels "Hot Response" and "Open Heart" which are also in the City General: Medic 1 Series? Please be aware: There is a small amount of appropriate angst in this doctor romance book. Reviews   Great romance awakening story. It's never too late to discover the beauty and healing power of love. Love is timeless, not caring about age, profession, economic position or anything else we list on our minds as important and this story weaves it beautifully. - M. Luria Story flows well, characters are well developed, and the love scenes are tastefully done. It may take awhile but it becomes a slow burn romance that blossoms over time. Well done Ms. Scott! Look forward to reading any future books. - Goofy22 The chemistry she is able to put into the story and the dialogues of her characters is just fantastic. She is definitely one of my favorite authors. - Conny The only thing I DID NOT like about this book was that it ended!  - Classics

Can you really get a second chance at love and a second chance at life? A sapphic novel of lesbian romance Have you read my other sapphic novels in the City General: Medic 1 series? Love Trauma Open Heart Hot Response Trails of The Heart Healing of The Heart Reviews A beautifully written book about second chances and enduring love. An HEA that reads like a fairytale. Two enchanting characters whose lives lead them apart and then back together. Well done, Ms Scott! - Liz Coxe I have followed Ruby's career since book #1 and I must say that all her books are worth it, maybe you will enjoy some stories more than others, but with this one, she has shown how good she has become as an author! This is a slow burn romance, so if you believe in second chances and love at first sight you will enjoy this book for sure! Compared with her other books, this one feels different, but in a good way, you can feel the deep emotions behind the words and the sentiment in it! The chemistry between the characters is palpable and it's cute! It's a light reading, you can read it in one sit or you can enjoy it at your own pace. Even tho it's from a series, you can read it as a stand alone. - Pattz What a book! So much chemistry! Well done Ruby Scott! - Melissa Moody Wow another heartfelt story I love the main characters. There was hot, passionate, understanding, loving, support, you name it, this book had it. Exceptionally well written, congratulations. - Christine Reid I've read and loved all of Ruby's stories , this by far is my favorite! Amazing chemistry between Jo and Ali! Scarlett will melt your heart ♥️ - Sharon P
