About this series
Night jumps are scary.
Finding bodies is scarier.
But finding you're in a bombing range with unexploded bombs…
When a hot shot crew, practicing high altitude/low opening parachute jumps in the desert, lands on two chest freezers, it's just an interesting surprise. Until one of the crew discovers the Air Force accidentally dropped them in the boom-boom section of an active bombing range.
As the jump master calls in a high-wire dust-off, one of the crew opens the freezers. Seconds later, they are calling it in as an active crime scene. And to contact the FBI…
Special Agent Nash Running Bear will only take her K-9, Powder into harm's way on one condition: they aren't going in alone.
But will it be enough?

- A Skeleton in Bone Creek: A Nash Running Bear Mystery, #1
1
Harkin County has its share of skeletons. But when a previously hidden skeleton surfaces in Bone Creek, the assignment falls to the Special Operations division at the FBI. Buried deep in the section of California known as The Free State of Jefferson, the local office doesn't want anything to do with Harkin County. Special Agent Nash Running Bear has her misgivings about returning to the small town she grew up in. But she only wants to think of two reasons she is right for the investigation. The vision she has been having, she doesn't want to think about. She's not her mother. Old racial slights and hatred for outsiders, don't make looking for more bones any easier... nor does the appearance of an old high school fling.
- Double-Time out of Taos: A Nash Running Bear Mystery, #2
2
When someone threatens a congressman's family and career, he seeks the FBI's best. They give Special Agent Nash Running Bear no choice. She scoffs at the babysitting job in the high desert of New Mexico, but it becomes a deadly game of cat and mouse. And the cats are four international assassins. So to get the job done, Nash reaches out to her alphabet team. Hopefully, in time…
- Four Corner Spread: A Nash Running Bear Mystery, #4
4
Tribal police discover a body spread on the Four Corners monument. When the head rolls away from the investigator's touch, they call the FBI. San Francisco Medical Examiner's laboratory gets the body, and Muna calls Washington D.C. Even though Nash is already involved in a case, they assign the unusual body case to her and Powder. The more she investigates the unusual nature of the body, the more personal it becomes. Until a bomb explodes...
- Cinco d' Mojave: A Nash Running Bear Mystery, #5
5
Fort Mojave, CA—Ft. Mojave citizens woke horrified this morning to learn that they discovered nineteen bodies in a nearby compound. The alleged victims are possibly members of a religious cult known for mass suicides. Investigations are ongoing. FBI Agent Nash Running Bear has more important things to focus on than the daily media frenzy. That is, until her work takes her to Fort Mojave, and an anonymous caller on a talk radio, claims that what appears to be a suicide pact is actually something much worse—a mass murder. In a heartbeat, what the news believed was suicide, has now become a hunt for a mass murderer. And Nash needs to reach out to new friends with better skills.
