A cave in the mountains is the safest place I can find, but I am not alone. Is a real monster any worse than the ones that murdered my father to take me for themselves? ***This is a short romance featuring a human omega and a monstrous alpha. It was previously released as part of the Monsters After Dark anthology.***
- Monster's Prey: Monsters in the Mountains, #3

I wasn't looking for a mate, but I'm keeping her now that I've found her. My mate died, but somehow, I survived, and my body didn't get the message that I don't want to go into heat. My brother nursed me back to health, but now I've become a bargaining chip. A walk in the woods to enjoy my last moments of freedom before being forced to mate a new alpha almost becomes the last thing I do. The only thing more terrifying than the bear trying to kill me is the monster who prevents it from doing so. He's different enough I don't feel like I'm betraying my lost mate when he declares he's keeping me for himself, and there's a connection I can't deny. Why wouldn't I let him claim me as his prize? ***This is the third book in the Monsters in the Mountains series, but it can be read as a standalone. This book is currently available in the Monsters Before Men anthology.***
- Monster's Obsession: Monsters in the Mountains, #2
2
The omega doesn't know it yet, but she's mine. I've never been anyone's first choice. I would be happy living life on my own, but that's not allowed, and my heat is coming. I have to choose an alpha before it's too late, but I don't want any of the ones in my village, because they don't want me as I am. I'm not their idea of a perfect omega. Then the gifts start arriving on my doorstep. Things that are thoughtful, useful, not pointless trinkets. I never get to see the mysterious alpha wooing me. He comes in the night, and all I have to identify him is his scent. When I give in and follow that tantalizing smell, I find more than I bargained for, but maybe this monster can give me something those other alphas didn't. ***This is the second book in the Monsters in the Mountains series. This novella features a curvy heroine and can be read as a standalone.***
- Monster's Payment: Monsters in the Mountains, #4
4
I'm taking his daughter as payment, but he's the one I'm going to kill. I knew monsters were real, but the ones I'd met didn't have horns and claws. When my father trades me to have his competition slain, I can't say it surprises me, but the creature I've been given to is a monster in the literal sense. I never would have thought fur and fangs were my thing, but when the monster promises to fill me with his seed, I find myself craving just that. He killed to have me, so who am I to deny him what he wants? ***This is the fourth book in the Monsters in the Mountains series but it can be read as a standalone.***
- Monster's Claim: Monsters in the Mountains, #5
5
The little omega distracted me, and now I'll pay the price. I wasn't expecting a monster to stumble across me as I was bathing, I just wanted to soothe the heat burning through my veins. I definitely couldn't have guessed he'd claim me in the stream, binding us together moments before my mother arrived to announce my fiancé was on his way. She can't erase what happened, but she thinks she can hide it long enough to obtain my bonding price. Should I let another alpha override the Monster's Claim, or should I save my mate? ***This is the fifth book in the Monsters in the Mountains series but it can be read as a standalone.***
- Monster's Mates: Monsters in the Mountains, #6
6
These omegas didn't expect to be claimed by monsters, nor did this clan expect to bring humans into their midst. What happened after the haze of heat cleared? If you enjoyed the stories of how the first five monsters met and claimed their mates, have a look at how they settled into life with their omegas. You'll get a peek at each couple and what came after their story ended. ***This is the sixth book in the Monsters in the Mountains series. It features couples from the previous five books and therefore contains spoilers.***
- Monster's Hunt: Monsters in the Mountains, #7
7
An omega, the sweetest prey. She's going to be mine, and I'll make sure she never runs from me again. My family made my life a misery, but there's nothing I can do to escape them. I have nowhere else to go. The monster I encounter in the forest overwhelms my senses, calling to the omega in me. I can't believe I let him touch me, but I'm so starved for affection I can't help myself. And then I do the only thing that makes sense… I run. But the monster hunts me down. He says he gave me a choice, but he's not letting me go. He's going to claim me as his mate. What reason do I have to deny him when my own family doesn't want me? ***This is the seventh book in the Monsters in the Mountains series but it can be read as a standalone.***
- Monster's Mark: Monsters in the Mountains, #8
8
She came searching for an alpha to claim her, and who was I to deny the omega her desire? I couldn't take another moment of derision. The alphas of my village had put me down for the last time, their rude comments pushing me to abandon my home in search of a new one. I'd heard the rumors. The whispers of monsters stealing human omegas to claim as their own. I wasn't foolish enough to think I could survive on my own in the wild, so climbing the mountain had seemed like the best choice. By the time he found me I had been half convinced I would die alone, but his scent was enough to trigger my heat. One way or another, I would wear the Monster's Mark, and the other alphas would never hurt me again. ***This is the eighth book in the Monsters in the Mountains series but it can be read as a standalone.***
Leann Ryans
I'm a wife and mother of four who's been an avid reader since I could pick up a book. It wasn't unusual for me to read a book a day, ignoring the real world as I was sucked into the pages of a great story. I grew up on sci-fi and fantasy books before discovering the world of romance. PNR has always been my go-to, and omegaverse is my addiction of choice. I love writing books featuring heroes who are a bit rough around the edges but aren't overly cruel. My heroines aren't always the take charge type, but neither are all women. They are comfortable in their femininity. If you're looking for a story that has dark themes without leaving you wanting to punch the hero in the face, mine might just be for you.
