About this series
She needs a fake boyfriend. He has a hidden agenda. Will they succumb to their dark desires?
Nova Emerson has no time for love. Burned by past relationships, all she wants to do is avoid conflict and focus on her cannabis farm. But when the feisty, curvaceous woman ends up with a flat tire and confronts two sketchy men, she's suspicious when a handsome stranger comes to her rescue.
Jude King is growing frantic. Hunting for answers, the retired Navy SEAL thinks the scrappy beauty he helps on the side of the road could be the key to the breakthrough he craves. So when she approaches him a day later about a pretend relationship to thwart her mom's matchmaking, the slow-to-trust grump jumps at the opportunity to extract information.
Surrendering to their wicked sexual attraction, Nova's make-believe boyfriend turns out to be the Daddy she needs to liberate her darkest needs. And just as Jude suspects his search has hit a dead end, he fears the sadistic killer circling them both is about to inflict some serious pain.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really loved Elise’s character. She was such a great heroine. As for Roman, the hero, I wasn’t that much of a fan. He was too passive, too indecisive for me to think he would’ve been a good partner for Elise. He was way too hot and cold with her throughout the book, and his excuses didn’t cut it for me. His MIL had to tell him what to do, and by that point, I was over it with him. I thought Elise deserved so much better. Still, it’s a great read which I enjoyed :)
