About this series

Jacob "The Charming One" Kingston has spent his whole life being the life of every party and the butt of every joke. Now, he's finally ready to get serious. The problem is, no one is willing to give him a chance to be anything but the comic relief. Not his family. Not his fellow cops. Not even the damsel in distress he just rescued from a biker bar.

Alright, so maybe he should have minded his own business, but he couldn't just leave her there to be accosted by Satan's Henchmen, could he? Nope, not on his watch. Maybe, just maybe, carrying her out of The Wilde Hawg on his shoulder was a bit over-the-top but what's a wanna-be hero supposed to do?

Anna Petrova has never met anyone like Jacob Kingston. He's a fool. A clown. A man without substance. He's also the most beautiful and amusing person she's ever met. But she doesn't need someone to make her laugh, she needs help. Her life is a disaster and she's all alone in a strange country with her troubled son depending on her. The only person willing to assist her is this man who's more intent on seduction than rescue. Can she trust him to be her hero? Or will he abandon her when her circumstances go from bad to worse?

Lauren Gardiner is finally ready to cut loose. The former bad-girl has spent the last ten years sacrificing her personal life to take care of her demanding father. But a girl needs a little sexy, naked fun-time too. A charity bachelor auction at the local country club seems like the perfect occasion to shop for the ideal one-night stand candidate. She`s looking for a big, beautiful commitment-phobe (brain and personality optional) who will fulfill her needs without complicating her life. How hard can that be? Men love no-strings sex, right? James Kingston, "the quiet one," isn't quite sure how he ended up being auctioned off to the highest bidder. He's not outgoing or smooth like his brothers and spending an evening making polite chit-chat with some desperate cougar isn't even close to his idea of a good time. But he's determined to demonstrate his dedication to the family business, Kingston Brothers Construction, even if it means shaking his hammer in front of a man-hungry crowd as a publicity stunt. But the woman who outbids the competition isn't what he expected at all. Lauren is sweet, serene and infuriatingly mysterious. Best of all, he's actually able to talk to her with minimal awkwardness, which is a real advantage considering he finally actually has something to say outside the bedroom for a change. Too bad she's only interested in saying good-bye. Warning: Contains erotic situations and some graphic language.

Author

Tamara Larson

Tamara Larson is a romance novel and Diet Coke addict. She is a child of the eighties, and has lived all over Canada. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Professional Writing Diploma. But most of her education came from secretly reading books by Linda Howard, Joanna Lindsay, Piers Anthony and Stephen King. (Yes, a weird mix.) Her true calling became evident when she interned at a literary magazine, a tourist magazine, and a newspaper. She didn't exactly make a splash at any of them. So, she began writing what she enjoyed - novels with fun characters, quick dialogue, and steamy love scenes. After a brief hiatus to deal with some health issues, Tamara released her third book in The Kingston Brothers real estate series, "Fair Market Value" in 2014. "Mr. Fixer-Upper (Kingston Bros Book 4) is now available.
