There's nothing practical about magic—which is why I ditched my wand years ago. Thirteen years, to be exact. The day I left Silverlake. Except now, a family emergency has called me back home, and quite frankly, I'd rather be anywhere but here. But when my aunt raises her wand to cure a friend and he ends up dead, it becomes abundantly clear I'm not leaving anytime soon. It turns that even a witch can't run from her past forever. A lesson I learned the hard way. But now I'm back home, and things are going well. Or they were for about five minutes. With the town-saving fall festival days away, the inn's renovation have fallen apart, running me ragged and right into a crime scene. A suspicious death has sent gossip flying faster than you can say bibidi babidi boo, threatening to put Silverlake on the map for all the wrong reasons. It'll take all witches on deck to solve this crime and save Silverlake before it's too late.

Happy Halloween! Welcome to the best holiday of the year. Or I thought it was until the tricks began to outweigh the treats.  Frog curses, poisoned candy apples, and a wayward vampire are only the half of it. Add in a two-hundred-year-old curse, a depressed poltergeist, and a dead body, and you can see why my enthusiasm for the witchiest day of the year is waning.  Not cool, Halloween Hijacker. Not cool. Which is why you can bet your wand I'm not going to go down without a fight, even if my actions land me in grave danger.

It's Christmas time in Silverlake, and everyone is feeling jolly, that is until a suspicious visitor arrives.  I have to be honest, Daniel McEwen's presence has me on edge. Or maybe it's his sharp fangs that have me running in the other direction.   But when a dead body turns up, and it's clearly a setup, I know I can't hang the vampire out to dry—Aunt Thelma taught me better than that, which is why Vance and I are teaming up to tackle this case and clear our friend's name.   Unfortunately, more than one person wants the truth to remain a secret, and they'll do whatever it takes to keep us quiet.   Can we trace the clues and bring the real killer to justice, or will there be more than one untimely departure?

She's determined for Silverlake to win the prestigious Best Fall Getaway award for Witch Reader's Magazine. Our cozy town is already a top contender.  But when the journalist covering Silverlake writes a scathing review and turns up dead, things go from fall festive to fatal misfortune.  The Mystic Inn guest had his fair share of critics, but the killer couldn't possibly be someone living in Silverlake, could it? That's what my friends and I are racing to find out. We love our enchanting town, and we're not about to let one bad pumpkin poison the patch.

There's a string of break-ins happening around Silverlake, and no one is happy about it. Whoever the burglar is, he's smart, able to bypass magical wards and make off with the goods before the police even have a clue something's amiss. That is until Loretta Johnson's grandson is caught red-handed at the scene. It seems like the case is closed, but Loretta is convinced her grandson is innocent, and she wants my help to prove it. Too bad Mrs. Potts wants me to stay out of it. My retired second-grade teacher says I'm wasting my time. Harvey Johnson is a no-good scoundrel, and I'm better off leaving this one alone. But when Harvey's found turned to stone in his jail cell, I know I have to take the case. Something more than petty theft is at play. No one's business is safe until we get to the bottom of this, not even Mystic Inn.
