Gap: a break or opening/interceding You stood in the gap. Interceded on behalf of someone or something. However, what you prayed was what you thought was needed. Perhaps, it took a moment, but you later learned, sadly, with all your good intentions and spiritual insights, you might have stood in God’s way. For example, someone you knew and loved constantly chose the wrong path. You bailed them out, gave them a place to lay their head and your blood pressure soared. You prayed repeatedly.
