Civitatai Series

Meet John Green John would be happy to be left alone to get through life, but the Fates have other ideas. John is the man who will discover the secret of time travel (accidentally)!  John regards himself as a fairly ordinary run-of-the-mill inventor, but those who know him best disagree with that assessment. Follow John's story as he tries to live his 'ordinary' life whilst coping with events ranging from the extraordinary to the mundane.

John Green is enjoying life. He's is now married, something he never really expected, but then, lots of things in John's life are 'unexpected'. One thing is certain, if John wants to stay married, he needs to complete the work on his Civitatai CPU design. Otherwise, there is a distinct possibility that his wife will disappear from his life forever. Then there is the slight problem of what to do about his discovery of Time Travel. Is the world ready for that? Life is never easy, but then, if it was, would John enjoy it?

What happened to the quiet life? John Green was busier than ever. He'd finally managed to design and manufacture his Civitatai chip. Now all he needed to do was to persuade people to utilise it. Of course, he could always produce some products of his own, but there was at least one application of the Civitatai chip that he'd rather not put his name to. Added into the mix was the fact that he and Kelvin had another job, around a thousand years into the future, that they'd probably not really devoted enough time to recently. Luckily, with Urni in charge of John's diary, everything was under control...

John Green is not happy. The world as he knows it is about to be destroyed. He knew it was going to happen, maybe not when, but as a regular traveller in time, 'when' was always a bit of an issue. He knew he'd be able to fix the problem. What he didn't know was whether he'd be able to fix the aftermath of his fix. In fact, John rather suspected that this may be the end to life as he knew it. Would Urni's help and support be enough to see him through? Only Time would tell...

John Green was feeling a bit retrospective! Events from the past were affecting him more than his job as World President. For example, who would have throught that a certain bear would have made such an impact? What about the events of Boxing Day? John thought he'd coped quite well at the time, but how did others feel about it? John's family might be about to grow again. Then of course there were 'Saint' John's responsibilities to the village. Surely nothing for John to lose his head over, but sometimes actions have consequences! Of course, John also had Samantha's birthday party to look forward to; but surely that wouldn't be an issue?  And of course John's birthday would be allowed to drift by. Or would that also cause an unfortunate rememberance of times past? All in all, John's duties as World President were starting to look like light relief!

What was John up to now? It was getting close to Christmas, but John had committed himself to a few other things this year. The Junior World Council World Tour was first on the list of priorities. John had left that to Urni to plan and arrange, but was that a good idea? John was still finding his feet as 'World President', so there were likely to be one or two challenges there to cope with. Then, of course, there was Christmas back at home to plan for. John had a factory now, so the Christmas celebration was likely to be a lot larger than usual. It was still a little early to be worrying about all that, so, back to work...

It was time for the first Junior World Council Conference Well, to be honest, John still had a couple of weeks to prepare, but he'd waved his family off, and they'd returned to say how much they'd enjoyed themselves, so now he needed to head off to his other job as 'World President' and ensure that everything was ready for his family's arrival! Time Travel was confusing, but John was starting to get used to his double life. He wasn't really looking forward to interacting with eighteen hundred strangers, even if they were children, but everything would be fine! Wouldn't it?

John Green has a day job! In fact, he has two! One comes with a title, the other is more titular. But both mean that there are now people depending on him! So far he's managed to go through life doing more or less what he wanted, when he wanted to do it. Life was going to have to change, but by how much? John tends to find 'change' a bit of a challenge, especially this type of change, but with Urni by his side, maybe he can adjust?

Things were going well for John. Maybe too well... Being the World President wasn't really a problem any more. Maybe he didn't enjoy it as much as his role of being one half of the Chief Engineer; but it wasn't as stressful as it had been. Of course, Sonia and Urni weren't going to let John rest on his laurels. If John was coping with meeting strangers now, maybe it was time for him to meet a few more? Urni, in particular, seemed to have some big plans. Of course, she didn't need to share them with John just yet... And then there was Sonia. She'd handed control of her Pet to Urni, but that didn't mean she couldn't throw a stick for him occasionally, did it? If John was hoping for a boring run-up to Christmas, then it looked like he was probably out of luck...

John Green is quite a busy man! He's been appointed World President, and the majority of people seem to think that he's going to be stuck with the job for at least twenty-five years; but, now that he's found his feet, most of the work is routine. That's not to say there aren't still challenges in his life. His Junior World Council have held their first and second conference; but there's still a little bit of work to do before the Junior World President is elected. Back at home, He's also promised Angela Doll an 'upgrade' in time for Christmas. He had plenty of time. There was nothing to worry about there, was there? Maybe John would be able to spend some quality time with his family? Of course, it was possible that John had forgotten a few pending commitments. Hadn't there been some talk about a sculpture? And maybe Urni had a few plans for him that she hadn't yet shared...?

Urni wanted a child. There was a lot going on in John's life at the moment, and a lot of surprises. The biggest surprise was that his super-computer wife wanted them to start a family. Not that John objected, of course. In fact, he was quite enthusiastic about the idea... It was just the practicalities that were slowing him down a little. From a practical point of view, it seemed to him that having Cassandra (he knew he was going to have a daughter... and her name... he just didn't know how he knew...) whilst the other children in his life were still youngsters would be better than her growing up alone... Of course, she'd be able to make friends, the daughter of a multi-millionare was certain to make friends, but maybe it would be better for her to have 'family friends' close to her own age as well... So, that was settled. Now, all John had to do was make it happen...
