Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: The Wayward Journey Series

Orphen's wayward journey continues as he pursues the dwarf brothers Volkan and Dortin, who have absconded with a dangerous artifact known as the Sword of Baldanders. His two companions, Claiomh Everlasting and Majic Lin, however, are not used to traveling such long distances, so the group stops off at the popular tourist destination of Alenhatam along the way. But an ancient, slumbering secret has been awakened beneath the depths of the city; one that could threaten to wipe out the very nature of sorcery as the world knows it...

Orphen is invited back home by an old associate named Leticia. There he encounters a mysterious, incredibly talented assassin... A sorcerer clad in black, who wields prodigal power. There's only one problem. The assassin calls himself "Krylancelo," and is physically identical to our titular hero. Orphen is pushed to the limit, forced to overcome the greatest challenge of all... Himself.

Orphen's journey takes a sour turn as a loan shark starts sending a deluge of hired assassins after him! But one of these assassins, Philietta the Fools' Hound, notorious Sorcerer hunter, has her own plans for Orphen. Just what sort of mind-boggling mystery awaits our haphazard party in the remote village of Kink Hall...?

Leaving Kink Hall Village behind them, Orphen and his companions find themselves now in Fenrir’s Forest, the large sea of trees covering one fifth of the Continent. Few men ever set foot in this sacred land which the Deep Dragons have made their home. But something strange is afoot in the Dragons’ Valhalla. It’s there that Majic meets a young girl called Fiena who wields a mysterious power linked to the Forest itself. Meanwhile, a hostile, gun-toting man named MacDougal shows up, and he seems to have some mysterious plan in mind involving Fiena’s unusual abilities... What conspiracies await Orphen and company in the homeland of the legendary Deep Dragons?

Unable to decide where to go next on his journey, Orphen is still staying in Nashwater. One day, Claiomh gets drawn into a dispute between two sword dojos. The subject of the dispute is a sword, Freak Diamond, left behind by the late hero Beedo Crewbstar. Through the conflict, Claiomh comes to know an instructor at one of the dojos and the current owner of the sword, Lottecia Crewbstar. As Orphen finds himself investigating the two dojos, a red dragon assassin appears before him!

While sojourning in the Tower of Fangs, Orphen and Majic come across the “Browning Family’s World Transcript,” a divine history book. Unfortunately for the duo, they’ve come into possession of an item coveted by killers who will stop at nothing to get their hands on it. A magical power struggle begins to unfurl within the place Orphen once called home, and demons from the past come back to haunt him.

On the road to Kimluck headquarters, Orphen’s group is distracted by a sudden scream piercing the night. They discover the Kamisunda Theater, ancient Celestial ruins where those deemed worthy may discover the truth of the world. But is Orphen worthy?

After defeating the Death Instructor Name Only in the underground waterway, Orphen meets up with Salua Solude and finally infiltrates the Yggdrasil Cathedral. But the shock of taking a life for the first time proves to be too much for Orphen to handle, and he finds he's completely unable to use his sorcery. A sorcerer unable to use his magic, his situation is dire enough without the Church's ultimate assassin, Quo Vadis Pater, waiting for him in the depths of the Cathedral.

The battle of Kimluck comes to an end, and with it, one leg of the wayward journey. Heading south on their way to the eastern part of the continent, Orphen and friends stop at the Ledgeborne Hot Spring Village, the foremost hot springs of the continent. But when everything Orphen owns is stolen on the way there, he ends up having to work off his stay at the inn he had reserved. In the process, he'll discover the truth and the dark side of the hot spring town. There's an unsettling air in this sightseeing town, where the cold winds of autumn are starting to blow.

With the aid of a Death Instructor he met at the Kamisunda Theater, Orphen disguises himself as one of the Kimluck Church faithful and infiltrates the city. On the way to the holy grounds, they find themselves surrounded by Kimluck believers, and a sorcerer intelligence operative comes to their rescue, taking them to an underground waterway he says leads to the holy grounds. But can he really be trusted?

Orphen falls into the subterranean lake, powerless after being shot by Quo Vadis Pater. Luckily, Azalie is there to save him. In his hazy consciousness at the bottom of the earth, Orphen encounters the memories of the founder of sorcery, Aureole. Pope Ramonirok of the Kimluck Church finally shows himself. He is a living weapon created by the Celestials, a killing doll. The final chapter of part one of the story of Orphen.

Arriving in Urbanrama, Orphen’s problems keep piling up. Lottecia vanishes into the night with Claiomh's sword, and Orphen's suspicions about Ed's identity are confirmed. To make things worse, Ryan and Helpart return, and their target is Leki!

Orphen explores the mountain forest, accompanying Dortin, who claims Volkan has been killed. Avoiding the attacks of a mysterious "monkey," he eventually stumbles upon a creepy structure that seems to be a Celestial ruin deep inside the forest. Meanwhile, at the inn, Eris suddenly goes missing. Claiomh decides it must be the work of their business rival the Lotz Hotel and takes Majic to storm the base of the Lotz Group in retaliation.

Thirteen days remain. Caught between the dragons of the Sanctuary and the Apostles of the capital, Orphen finds only one hope remaining: Leki, who gained a sense of self when he joined with Claiomh. But can they forestall the goddess’s arrival?

The chaos in Urbanrama that began when Orphen's group arrived has reached its peak. Doppel X has bared their fangs at Orphen, Majic is missing, and Claiomh has become Sleeping Beauty, her mind closed off. Even if Orphen triumphs over the Red Dragon assassin Helpart, the Green Gem Armor worn by Ryan Spoon has turned the whole south of the town into a sea of trees, and a Deep Dragon has appeared in the north. Trapped between these two threats, Urbanrama descends into unprecedented panic!

The Imminent Domain: The nearest human territory to the dragons' sanctuary. Following Winona’s guidance, Orphen journeys there to learn Azalie’s whereabouts from Damian Rue. En route, they encounter both his sister Leticia, and members of the Thirteen Apostles, investigating on orders from the capital. They all soon find themselves beset by a mysterious army of dwarves in the wasteland, an ominous specter of the continent’s past. Can modern sorcery stand up against a foe that defies time itself?

At last, Orphen and company arrive at the Imminent Domain. The Stabbers of the Thirteen Apostles have already arrived, a trail of death marking their passing. A bloody path carved into the devil’s garden, leading to yet another evil spirit in wait...

The Dragon Sanctuary stands beset from all sides. As the battle between Orphen, the Apostles, and the dragons rages outside, Leticia and Azalie act from within, aiding Colgon’s bid for the Second World-Seeing Tower. Yet time is running out...

Despite an invitation from Almagest, the lord of the Imminent Domain, Orphen arrives to discover the man is dead–only to rediscover him walking his manor alive and well the next morning with a seemingly brainwashed Claiomh and Majic in tow. Though Orphen wants nothing more than to escape, a pack of Deep Dragons approaches from their sanctuary. The walls are starting to feel like they’re closing in...
