About this series

Sometimes it's love at first sight.

This is not one of those tales.

Once upon a time, Uthyr was young and strong, a warrior without peer. He had a son who someday would follow him into battle. A beautiful new wife to ease the pain of losing his first one. And he'd just wrested power from his abusive father to ensure his people's safety from Saxon invaders. Fortune was smiling on him.

Or perhaps having a good joke. For just when he thought he possessed everything he could ever want, she arrived.

~

On that day long ago, Britte was weary and uncertain. Driven from their homeland by a corrupt king, she and her family had crossed sea and mountains to find refuge. But she hadn't lost everything. She had a husband she loved deeply. Two healthy sons. A good trade—what village wouldn't need a blacksmith? And a mind too practical to allow fear to rule her.

But not so practical she could ignore the man who would rule her in nearly every respect.

DISARMED BY DESIRE is the 7th novel of the SONS OF BRITAIN series.

Tropes: enemies to lovers, unrequited love, hurt/comfort, slow burn

Content Notes: This story involves depictions/descriptions of abuse of power; pregnancy and childbirth; death in childbirth; battle violence; injuries including limb loss; ableism; terminal illness; spousal death; grief; homophobia; drugging of another person; murder. While this story does not involve physical cheating, the emotions of its protagonists are complex and conflicted.

When two warriors collide in secret, no legend is set in stone.   Eighteen-year-old Arthur burns for two things: a warrior's ink, and Bedwyr, his older brother's shieldmate.   Though the warlord's son is beyond his reach, a Saxon incursion finally brings Arthur's chance at the tattoo that will brand him a fighter.   But when he abandons his training in the heat of battle, his reckless ambition costs Bedwyr his sword hand.   +   Once, Bedwyr trusted in two things: he was a warrior, and the presumed heir of Uthyr.   Now, reeling from injury and sent away by his father, he's lost everything. The last person he wants to see is the cub who ignited his disastrous instinct to protect.   Especially when he arrives with Bedwyr's armor and a dangerously hopeful scheme to restore him to his rightful place.   +   MARKED BY FIRE is the 1st novel of the SONS OF BRITAIN series.   Tropes: forced proximity, hurt/comfort, older brother's best friend, virgin hero   Content Notes: violence, graphic injury/treatment, death (battle context)   2nd Edition Note: This title was originally published in 2016 as a novella. But when fierce hearts collide, loyalties can shift, creating bonds far stronger—and ideas far riskier—than their world may be ready for.

When they aren't fighting effortlessly side by side, they're making the most of every secret nook and shadow in the village to celebrate their victories.   And if Cai, his former shieldmate and Arthur's brother, doesn't understand the bond Bedwyr now shares with his cub…   What Cai doesn't know can't harm them.   +   Arthur's been careful—mostly—but when Uthyr summons him one morning, Arthur is certain he and Bed have been found out. Instead, the warlord issues Arthur a challenge that pits him against Cai.   The prize: Uthyr's house.   Seizing an opportunity to secure Bedwyr's future, Arthur comes up with a strategy. One that's bold, daring,… and a little bit insane. But it just might throw Cai off their scent.   If it doesn't get Arthur banished first.   +   BOUND BY BLOOD is the 2nd novel of the SONS OF BRITAIN series.   Tropes: secret relationship, sibling rivalry   Content Notes: violence, homophobia, misgendering of trans character   Edition Note: This story was originally published in 2016 as two novellas, ETCHED IN STONE and BOUND BY BLOOD. She has a plan and needs an accomplice she can trust.   Luckily, her lover Elain is the most courageous, loyal, honest woman she knows.   +   Elain has a secret, and helping Gwen run away will only bring them closer to exposing the truth: that Elain too is the daughter of a powerful warlord—and his only heir.   Now her best chance to give Gwen a secure future is to reclaim her birthright. But doing so would mean confronting the father she fled years ago.   And risking the fragile bonds of the new family she's only just found.   +   Meanwhile, Arthur's restlessness amid the tedium of a winter border camp draws Bedwyr into risks that could inspire men to swear their swords…or destroy the tenuous alliances holding the Saxons at bay.   DRIVEN BY DUTY is the 3rd novel in the SONS OF BRITAIN series, featuring four people whose unconventional bonds will forge the core of a legendary war band…   …and introducing a fifth, whose arrival will change the course of everything.   +   Tropes: on the run, bodyguard/charge, secret past, found family, surprise pregnancy   Content Notes: misgendering & deadnaming a trans character, killing (self-defense), pregnancy & childbirth

A different partner in his bed every night! ...Until his coin runs out.   Which happens with alarming regularity.   But he's not the sort of fellow to save for the future. Especially if it's unlikely to involve the proud but shy giant he's never managed to seduce.   Nearly broke and with a long winter stretching before him, Safir's only amusement is collecting trinkets for the clever magpie that visits his chamber each night.   +   Morien has a dream most men would laugh at. He wants a peach orchard, and he's willing to wait for a man who can give him one.   Which, granted, hasn't happened yet.   But he's not the sort to give up his dream—or his virginity—for just anyone. Especially a charming rogue of a sell-sword who thinks only of the present moment.   No matter how many shiny baubles the scoundrel might bestow upon him.   +   But when he finds himself stranded at a remote farm with Arthur's band of warriors, Morien realizes that tempting Safir with his virtue might be his best chance of hiding his other secret.   The one whose exposure could endanger his kind, challenge Arthur's bond with Bedwyr as nothing else has, and scatter the men of their inner circle like seeds before a storm…   …or drive them ever closer to a destiny written in the stars.   +   CHARMED BY MISCHIEF is the 5th novel of the SONS OF BRITAIN series.   Tropes: rogue/virgin, love lessons, secret identity   Content Notes: battle violence, a main character's memory of an intimate situation between his adolescent self and an adult

It's hard to be a ruthless mercenary when the man who owns your heart won't stop risking his neck.   Gawain has earned his place in Arthur's small gang of warriors with a bold agility that pays in their secret missions against the Saxons. Capturing the heart of a certain mercenary has been the hawk's only failure.   "Try again in seven years," Palahmed said. As if Gawain had nothing better to do than mark the hours. He has plenty of things to do, and waiting for any man—even one as tall, dark, and miserable as Palahmed—isn't one of them.   Not that he's above showing the sell-sword what he's missing.   +   Six and a half years ago, Palahmed threw down the stupidest challenge of his life, and he's regretted it every day since. He wasn't wrong to do it; his history with younger men has been a disastrous journey, pierced through with guilt and shame.   And Gawain is young—and cocksure and beautiful and entirely infuriating. Every time the hawk slips into enemy territory, Palahmed must shore up his inner defenses or lose his mind to worry.   But every stronghold has a weak point.   +   When an unexpected mission threatens to set Gawain on a collision course with the brutal father he escaped, Palahmed can't help but swear his sword to back him. Gawain must agree or appear a coward, even as Palahmed braces himself to get closer than ever to the one man who could bring his fortress crashing down.   Amid the cold, harsh beauty of Britain's far north, the two will have to face the truth unspoken between them, or neither will survive to tell the tale.   +   TEMPTED BY RUIN is the 4th novel of the SONS OF BRITAIN series.   Tropes: age gap, brooding older hero, forced proximity   Content Notes: violence (physical & verbal), animal cruelty (attempted drowning), an intimate situation involving an adolescent and an adult (witnessed by a main character), murder, attempted murder, and killing in self-defense.

A wolf on the run from his demons. The one man who can tame his wounded heart.   None of it was Cai's fault. Or so he's told himself for years. Only, it no longer holds the scent of truth.   With guilt nipping at his heels, Cai flees as far north as he can. By the time he stumbles into a barbarian hunting camp, he's nothing but fur and bones and a death wish.   It's just his luck that among the strangers are a small girl with strength to spare and a man whose sure hand sparks an unsettling instinct to obey.   +   Raised by a brutal despot, Agravain is determined to be a better father to his daughter. He has enough problems without adding this pathetic excuse for a wild wolf to his burdens.   But he doesn't count on his lass's quick attachment to the beast, nor how helping the wolf mend eases the loneliness of their island home.   And he can't explain at all why the creature seems to understand him better than anyone else.   +   Meanwhile, a surprise visitor to Arthur's shifter compound could corner him into finally accepting a few truths that have dogged him for over a decade.     HOUNDED BY FATE is the 6th novel of the SONS OF BRITAIN series.   Tropes: on the run, secret identity, alpha/omega, found family, redemption   Content Notes: killing in defense of self and others, injury, intimacy in shifted forms, terminal illness (secondary character), suicidal thoughts, mention of murder, mention of infanticide by drowning, mention of past partner/parent death

Love this series, so good and gets better as the story goes, such a good spin on something not really thought about and now, i can’t stop thinking about how it’s all so possibly true. Keep it up. Can’t wait for more to this adventure.
