About this series

When an ordinary day at his construction job turns into a bloodbath, Grant Ross' life is changed forever. After killing a man in self-defense, Grant is thrust into a world he never knew existed: a world of power, money and death.

A meeting in a dimly lit nightclub with Marco, head of the Grabano crime family, seals Grant's fate. Struggling to find a balance between life as a college student and his lucrative new job as an enforcer for the Philly mob, Grant eventually has to make a choice and he knows he's in too deep to walk away from the mafia.

Grant gets in even deeper when he meets Miranda Grabano. They have a connection, but she's the boss' daughter and off limits. As he navigates his way through the criminal underworld and into Miranda's heart, life gets more challenging after his sister moves to Philadelphia to attend school. Grant has always looked out for Natalie and practically raised her. Now that she's in the city he does everything he can to keep her away from the truth and shield her from the violence that surrounds him, but at what cost? A snap decision is made and Grant realizes too late that he may have opened the door to Natalie sharing his fate.

Enforcer is a prequel novella for The New Mafia Trilogy and can be read in any order. The Beautiful People (Book One), Clean Slate (Book Two), and Endings & Beginnings (Book Three) are available now.

Natalie Ross has always gone to her brother for help. Grant's been her rock throughout their turbulent childhood. Knowing she's struggling financially, he gets her a job at Crimson, one of the hottest nightclubs in Philadelphia where he works as head of security. Natalie promises Grant she won't get sucked into the party scene or involved with any of her co-workers because she's focused on finishing her last semester of college. Her promise doesn't last 24-hours once she meets Dominic. From the first night as a Crimson employee she falls for the handsome bartender, despite her brother's protests and warnings about the guy. With a cool job, a hot man and more than enough money to pay her bills, life was looking up for Natalie. Things drastically change when she witnesses her brother kill three men and discovers he's a soldier for the Philly Mob. Dominic is too. In fact, his family is the mafia. Suddenly Natalie is a liability and she's given an ultimatum: keep quiet or die. Initially, Natalie is enamored with the money and power associated with the lifestyle. The mafia also offers the close-knit family she's craved her entire life. She soon learns that this family's values are more than skewed. A series of violent events leaves Natalie feeling trapped, vulnerable and questioning whether she made the right choice. *This book is intended for a mature audience as it contains: sex and sexual assault, plus drug and alcohol use.*

With a price on her head, Natalie’s brother, Grant, and her mobster ex-boyfriend, Dominic, are forcing change within the Philly Mob to eliminate the threat. When Natalie Ross fled Philadelphia, the streets were run by a vicious man who took what he wanted, when he wanted. Natalie knows this from personal experience and has the scars to prove it. Now it’s time for her to return home and face the people she left behind. While the city is the same, it’s also different. Marco is dead and a new generation is in control. Dominic has taken over as the boss of the Grabano Crime Family. He’s been busy putting money back into the community and negotiating peace amongst other criminal organizations. The people are different too. Natalie and Grant’s mom has been in counseling and has seemingly changed for the better. She’s trying to make amends and forge a new relationship with her children. While Grant is more accepting of this, Natalie isn’t. Hurt from the past is keeping her from embracing this new and improved version. Under his newly acquired mantle of responsibility, Dominic has changed too. He’s less impulsive, calmer and stronger than ever. He still loves Natalie and knows she needs to feel safe in order to stay. His promise of protection isn’t enough so he makes an offer that Natalie plans on accepting until an afternoon of shopping at the mall ends in bloodshed. The tragedy leaves Grant clinging to life, just days after marrying Miranda, and Dom is arrested. Natalie postpones her return to Los Angeles in order to take care of her brother. With her visit extended, Natalie grows closer to Dom. She wants to let him back in, but she’s definitely more guarded. Fearing Dom’s reaction, she keeps her recent experiences in Los Angeles with the L.A. Mob and the FBI to herself. However, the more time they spend together, he uncovers some of these secrets, making him doubt Natalie’s loyalty. With the FBI watching his every move and a rat threatening to destroy his tenuous arrangements with the other “business associates”, Dom is on edge and questioning those around him. He pushes Natalie away, providing “the out” she thought she wanted. Only when she’s back in Los Angeles does the distance provide perspective, but is it too late? An unexpected business trip brings Dominic to Natalie’s door giving them an opportunity to reconcile or say goodbye for the last time. Letting go of the past is the ending and starting over is the beginning…
