Do you ever...   -lie awake at night with too many thoughts?   -try to understand why things happened as they did?   -attempt to label your habitual behaviours?   -wonder what good might come from an argument on Facebook?   The 24 short playful poems in this collection map out such moments (and more)...then hand them to you for your consideration.   Events that seem benign and ordinary on the surface can sink us into a deeper knowing of ourselves.   We can find empowerment in even the smallest of realizations...when we meet 'at the crossroads' of our inner and outer worlds.  Use these poems to explore the rich potential of your everyday mundanity!   (Book cover designed in Canva by the author using images created by the author).

Similar to the first collection (At The Crossroads), At The Doors is an assortment of playful, short poems that offer insight into the little moments of 'ordinary' life.   Whether its arguing with yourself at the grocery store, answering the question 'how are you.' with 'I'm fine', or pondering over the place of a garden snail in the vastness of the universe, these 20 poems offer new perspectives on life's 'simple moments'.   There are five doors to choose from in this book: the first door, the blue door, the other door, this door, and that door.   What is behind each door?   Enter to find out and perhaps, by shifting your perception a little, you, too, can add to the energetic uplift that occurs when we see the mystical in the mundane.   (Cover design by J. Continuing the through-line of the other poetry collections (At The Crossroads, At The Doors), At The Edge of The Cliff offers an assortment of playful, short poems to prompt contemplation and introspection... about what is it like to stand at the edge of the undefined.   Where are the edges in daily life that we must consider or transverse? What helps us move into these transitional phases?    This collection of 20 poems launches us outward by taking us inward...perhaps you, too, are intrigued by all the possibilities that arise by stepping towards the edge of things. These poems are here to help name and inspire this journey. (Cover created by J. Johnson in Canva using image created by the author).
