With true allies by her side and unique abilities, it's only a matter of time before she wins back her home and rescues the Goddess Winds. Yet, Eya's recklessness might mean her ruin. Can she learn to control her impulses, the way she's learning to control the elements?

When gods have grudges, even the most privileged mortals pay the price. Eya is a sheltered and spoiled princess who longs for adventure and purpose beyond a future as a wife. When the discovery of an ancient relic in her kingdom leads to a devastating war, she loses everyone she loves and the life she never asked for falls apart. Desperate and alone, Eya flees on a ship only for it to wreck on enemy shores, forcing her to pose as a maid for survival. As she struggles to keep her identity secret and learn to live as a peasant, she discovers newfound powers that spark danger around her. It is only through exploring her new world's terrifying realities and confronting the disquieting darkness within that Eya can conquer her powers. However, this alone may not be enough to rise up against those who wish her dead. She'll need powerful allies, and that means finding out the truth about the relic that changed her fate. In this epic fantasy, Eya embarks on a coming-of-age journey where she meets with a diverse cast of women who teach her the value of strength and support. This feminist tale has been compared to Leigh Bardugo's work and is perfect for fans of dark fantasy and LGBTQ+ representation. Read Struggling with the Current, the first book in the Telverin Trilogy, and join Princess Eya on her quest for freedom, power, and revenge

Success in battle comes easy, but something doesn't sit right with her. She's not sure she's fighting on the right side. Is she truly fated to destroy an entire nation, or is there a way out of this prophecy? Eya learns that sometimes your enemies are the people you allow closer than anyone else.
