About this series

"Ordinary People" is Book Two of the "Carmen & Rose: A Love to Remember" Series. Carmen La Pierre met Rose Oliver when she was working on the night shift at Jiffy's Seven-Eleven Sunoco in Piney Knoll, North Carolina. For both, it was love at first sight and a love that was destined to grow with them. It is their destiny that becomes this book, ten years after their first meeting in Volume 1, "Secret Love".

They have survived a hurricane, homophobic relatives, robbery, a claustrophobic rural town - rebuilding their lives emotionally in creative ways, learning to grow together.

After all these years, these fine and loyal women open their lives to you one more time...still in love, still trusting and still fulfilled in each other.

A loving May-December lesbian romance, pure and simple.

Carmen La Pierre works at a dead-end job in a local 7-11 on the graveyard shift. She grew up and still lives in her childhood home in Piney Knoll, North Carolina. She loves the country, but would much rather live in New York City where she thinks she would have the freedom she so dearly craves. Even nearing fifty, she is still beautiful, fit, slender and always wanting something else. Something better. She meets the love of her life in the store, a young woman who has just turned twenty-two. Their lifelong romance grows from this chance meeting. They travel the rocky road of nasty relatives, hurricanes and their initial financial problems to a consistent understanding and triumph. This is a warm, happy, May-December love affair. A truly happy ending book for your cozy, wrap-yourself-up-in-the-afghan type evenings. May it bring you the joy and peace that Carmen and Rose have found.
