Alien Warrior Mates II Series

In the days leading up to the Denynso men leaving the compound for the first time so that they can learn more about the planet of Uoria and what species also call their beloved planet home, Bannack is struggling with the conflict within himself. Only seconds before he almost mated with Loralia, he stopped her, and now he has asked the king to release him from his obligations to her as her guard and protector so that he can join the other warriors on their quest. The king has given him permission and the human women have agreed to take over for Bannack protecting Loralia and getting her accustomed to the compound. However, the Denynso men do not seem as willing to go along with him. Infuriated by his thoughts of Loralia and what it would mean to accept her as his mate, they force Bannack to see what is really happening within him, just moments before the women tell him that Loralia has left the compound. Bannack must decide whether he will let his fear or his heart make his decisions for him.  

Suddenly surrounded by the fearsome-looking Covra, Lynx can only think of protecting Rain. Still trying to process that this beautiful woman is human, the warrior only cares that she is intended to be his mate and fights off the spider-like creatures coming into the room, but soon falls victim to their horrifying form of warfare. Bannack and Pyra must race to find Ciyrs and heal Lynx before he is lost to the Covra. Back at the Denynso compound the women are struggling to deal with their emotions of having their mates so far away, though they know that they are doing what they need to do for the future of their kind. When strange news from the king forces them to look deeper into themselves and their relationships, and terrified communication from Bannack brings Loralia right into the middle of the conflict with the Covra, the clan must work together to ensure there is still a future for them to fight for.  

The Covra seem to be gone, but Loralia's cryptic warning is still lingering with the men. As Ciyrs works on healing Ty and Vax and Lynx searches his dreams for Rain, all of the men know that the time is counting down on their ability to save all of the Light Ones. Without knowing what they were thinking or why they chose to lock the people of the settlement rather than killing them, however, they worry that they won't be able to release them from their binds in time. Back at the compound the women are struggling to deal with not having their men around. When Bannack contacts them through Loralia's compact to ask for their help figuring out how to unlock the people, all of the women are thrilled to see their mates, but an emergency with Eden takes away their excitement. With everything happening, they don't remember that the new professor was meant to arrive, and when the shuttle appears and the professor steps out, they find themselves facing a new set of challenges.  

It has come time for the Denynso men to say goodbye to their mates as they prepare for their journey through Uoria. Each spends some special time with the woman that he loves, and each of the women have a token of their adoration for their man so that he can think of her when he is away from home. These special gifts perfectly exemplify who the women are, and the men tuck them away gratefully, happy that they will still have tangible reminders of their mates during their journey. In the backs of their minds, though, they wonder if these items may prove useful as they face their challenges. Once they are finally on their journey, the first place that they visit is the old, burned-down Klimnu prison. What they discover inside a dungeon, however, completely changes what they thought they knew about the planet and the Denynso themselves. Soon they are on a different type of mission and one warrior, Lynx, will discover that far more waits for him on this journey than new species and plants.  

a.    Terrified by what he has realized about the Light Ones, Lynx knows that he needs help. With most of the men gone, including Pyra and Ciyrs, Lynx turns to Ero who convinces him that he needs to reach out to the women to get more of their help. Away from the settlement, Pyra and the others have nearly lost hope for finding the kingdom, but when they do discover it, they are stunned at the species that lives there and the stories that they tell of the Light Ones from generations past. Though these creatures are stunningly beautiful and seemingly welcoming to the Denynso, there is something about them, something familiar that unnerves Pyra. Back at the Denynso compound Zsilvia continues to struggle with her feelings for George, but when their efforts to get the men the information they need turns dangerous, she is forced to confront her feelings once and for all.  

a.    Zsilvia is still struggling with her feelings for George as tortured memories of her past keep her from accepting that he is her intended mate and allowing herself to give in to his attention. Instead, she has separated herself from him and spends her time observing his efforts with the rest of the women to find a solution to the locked people in the settlement. After an emotional conversation with Eden makes her start to question her own fears and think that she may be ready to take the next step with George. However, the surprising arrival of another shuttle makes her rethink everything and shatters her hopes for a future with him. Back with the warriors Pyra discovers a map that shows another kingdom not far from the settlement. Some of the men decide to go to it to find out what they can about the Light Ones. Meanwhile, Lynx discovers something that changes everything about their efforts to save them.  

a.    With the hatching of the Covra young beginning, the group from the Denynso compound is hurrying to get to the settlement as fast as they can. When a comment from Ivy makes Zsilvia think differently about the Light Ones and their locked state, a single communication with the men changes everything. Now the warriors are fighting a battle they hadn't prepared to fight and together they must decide whether it is more important to preserve lives that began long ago, or eliminate the threat to those who are still just getting started. Lynx's leadership and personal struggle clash and he must decide which he will choose, knowing that the decisions he makes could save hundreds while also taking away the one thing that he needs and desires the most.  

The threat of the Covra gone, the Denynso are trying to help the Light Ones pick up the pieces and move forward. As Lynx spends more time with Rain he realizes that as deeply as he loves her, he doesn't really know much about her. Together they decide that it is time that they all talk about what happened and try to understand how this situation came to be. As they are gathering in the meeting hall with everyone else now in the settlement, two of their number are missing. No longer deeply involved in a research project, Ivy has had the chance to explore the settlement and during her time alone she has discovered Maxim, the most beautiful of the beautiful men who came from the other kingdom. While the others gather together for a meeting, Ivy and Maxim roam to the outer reaches of the settlement and then out onto the plains of Uoria. What happens in both places will change everything and within just days they will all know far more about each other, and learn that the threats they thought were gone may be just beginning.  

The Klimnu. With those two words, the world around the Denynso shatters and suddenly nothing is what it seemed. Now that Maxim has revealed the change of his skin and Ciyrs has administered his own vicious test, the warriors are convinced that they are witnessing the second coming of these grotesque enemies, and Pyra knows that he has to take control. His methods, however, prove destructive and soon Maxim and Ivy have to make decisions that will determine the course of the rest of their lives. The devolved military state that the settlement has become is in chaos, but Ivy quickly discovers that there is more to fear than Pyra declaring himself unquestioned leader and declaring that the threat of the Klimnu needs to be destroyed once and for all. With lives hanging in the balance every moment, every choice, and every revelation matters.
