The Whodunnit Series

Writeup for The Amaryllis Murder Mystery Whodunnit Mystery Series Book 4   Albert Thomas, the owner of Albert's Variety Stores, tried to take advantage of one of his young single women, Loueva Jennings, who was a clerk in his store. Unlike others before her, she stood up and got in his face and afterward ran out the door, never to return. Thomas had earlier called on famed detective Billy Bob Thornton and his sidekick Chinaman, who only knew him as 'Weida de Zhentan,' (the Great Detective,) to come and investigate John Pilkington, his manager over the cashiers for theft. However, he was still red in the face from his anger over Loueva Jennings shutting him down, so he turned the force of his detective over to investigating her after framing her for the thefts. However, at the close of the meeting, Billy Bob Thornton and the Chinaman refused to take the case knowing that something was fishy. Later, they paid a visit to Loueva's apartment. Out in the hallway was a man, the Chinaman called Scarface, a convicted felon and protégé of Thomas. Earlier in the day, he had picked him up after an eight-year stay from the state prison. The next day Billy Bob Thornton discovered a body. The victim was holding Amaryllis flowers in his hands crossed over his breast. Billy Bob must work hard for the woman he was falling in love with, Loueva Jennings. She became the Black Rock Cove Police Department's number one suspect. He and the Chinaman must hurry and unveil the truth before Loueva pays the ultimate price. As Billy Bob Thornton's investigation leads to Black Rock Cove's darkest corners, what will prove more dangerous… what Loueva knows of the past or what she has yet to discover? This is the fourth installment of the Whodunnit Mystery Series chock full of suspense, mystery, and action that will keep you glued through the final pages of the story!

The Eagle Lake Fire Department sounds off its siren at straight-up noon, informing all the residents in the community it "was time to eat." The Lakeside Museum began to empty out of those attending for the lunchtime call. The few people still lingering among the interesting displays of the great museum were suddenly startled by the sight of one of the uniformed guards racing down the red longleaf pine steps of the main staircase, shouting! Justin Thomas raced up, 16 points ahead in the latest poll for Governor of Texas, shouting, "Lock the doors! No one is to leave the building!" After a brief moment, Thomas, the Director of the Museum, and others ran up the stairs to find a beautiful young woman, not more than eighteen years of age, lying on the cold wooden floor with an arrow protruding from the center of her chest. No one could believe what their eyes were telling them. A quick call was placed into Eagle Lake Headquarters, and lo and behold, a veteran detective who had made Eagle Lake his home in his seventies, answered the call. It was no other than Vincent James Gideon! To the people in Eagle Lake, he was best known only by his last name, GIDEON. He looked around the museum and asked his sidekick, TJ Johnson, to make a list of names. There were twenty-one witnesses that said they saw nothing. How could that be? Someone must be lying, but who?

On his return, he goes undercover as Charlie Johnson.   All clues and evidence point to a Woman in Black that has been seen at the exact location where three murders have taken place. Who is she? Why is she always seen at the murder scene? Why have two men who witnessed the murders suddenly been found dead of a heart attack? Is there any truth to what the servants say about blaming the murders on the supernatural?
