About this series
The Intelligencers Series
Dagrun's Trait, which allows her to discover secrets, serves her well as an undercover agent of the Intelligencers, the investigative organization of the Fair Seas Treaty Alliance. But when she uncovers a plot threatening the safety of the Fair Seas and its people, Dagrun will have to partner with those determined to keep their secrets from her, if the Fair Seas Alliance is to be saved.
The first three books in the Intelligencers series, a sea-faring fantasy series with magic and political intrigue.
Book 1: Pirates & Privateers – While searching for her missing twin sister, Dagrun, a newly-minted Intelligencer, uncovers a plot against the countries of the Fair Seas Treaty Alliance, implicating the highest levels of government. But her loyalty is tested when her sister joins the formidable pirate Captain Ansdottir.
Book 2: Traits & Traitors – Pirates are burning cities and harbours along the coast, and Dagrun and Calder race to the city of Tarklee to give warning. But when the worst happens, and with the Intelligencers in tatters, Dagrun and Calder must unite the few remaining members to save their city and their people.
Book 3: Sailors & Spies – Dagrun and Calder's new assignment takes them to the Sapphire Sea, where an unexpected encounter with Calder's father complicates their mission. Unbeknownst to them, their quest may prove meaningless, if their friends back in Tarklee cannot thwart a political coup.

With winter setting in and the Frozen Pass closed, everyone except Dag and Calder are trapped on the Pale Sea. Including Strongrock pirates. When the pirates attack the warehouse where Pia and her sister have taken refuge, the small group is able to fight back. Pirate prisoner in tow, Pia makes her way to Lavais Port, where she meets up with Gustav, who is on a dangerous mission of his own and needs a partner. Keeping people safe—keeping her sister safe—means that Pia must make a choice and become what she swore she wouldn't: a true Intelligencer. And while Dag continues the vital task of shipping supplies through the Teeth, Calder remains in the Sapphire Sea to stop an assassin from killing Charis and Inger, who are on the run from both the assassin and the corrupt Messanos Council. An unlikely and unpredictable alliance with pirates ends when their ship is captured, setting Calder and his sister ashore in dangerous waters with time running out. Can Luck save them this time?

The city of Tarklee must be warned, before the pirates rejoin their co-conspirator, Grand Freeholder Tarmo Holt. Avoiding pirates at every turn, Dag and Calder journey to the city. But they're too late: Tarklee's harbour is set ablaze. With her sister gone and the looming threat of famine haunting the city, Dag, Calder, and the few remaining Intelligencers must find a way to defeat Tarmo Holt and save the people of the Fair Seas Treaty Alliance.
