Ninthalas is plagued by questions over Yosef’s mixed roots and peculiar circumstances. He vows to bring Yosef north with the hope of providing him a safe place should the boy’s memories resurface.

    But the Black Assailant has plans to intercept them, take Yosef back and kill Ninthalas
