About this series

Three Weddings & a Hurricane

She's determined to make it the wedding of the century!

The Brewster wedding was to be the triumph of Hallie Bernhardt's career. Never mind that the bride hadn't shown up and the groom couldn't be found. Never mind the hurricane warning. Or that the hotel had put Hallie in the same room with Rik Austin, the best man.

He's determined to make it the wedding that never was.

Rik was a laid–back guy but he wasn't going to let Miss Button–down disrupt his plans to disrupt this wedding. He knew what to do –– a little tequila here, a little seduction there and before she knew it, Hallie would be bewitched and bewildered and the wedding would be history. But a funny thing happened on the way to disaster .

Three Weddings & a Hurricane It started out as a favour for a friend Late one night, Jack Keaton had jokingly agreed to marry his old buddy Stephanie Brewster. He didn't think much about it until he got an invitation to a large, lavish wedding in Hawaii. His own. And it was turning into a nightmare Jack was trying to roll with the punches, so when his hotel doorbell rang two days before the big day, he expected some champagne, maybe a boutonniere. Certainly not Dani Carpenter, a beautiful brunette not his bride wearing a Big Bird outfit and carrying a bundle of trouble! A baby, with a note that said the little guy was all his. Jack was now a groom and a daddy and he still wasn't sure how it had all happened.

Too Well. Okay, maybe Bentley should have let Carter in on her little secret. But how could she have guessed that the husband she'd invented from thin air would have the nerve to show up in the flesh?

Author

Karen Toller Whittenburg

Karen has lived on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, but prefers to reside in the Green Country of Northeastern Oklahoma, where she grew up. She enjoys the changing seasons in Tulsa, where she lives with her photographer husband and their floppy-eared schnauzer, A.J. An avid reader from an early age, she wrote stories as a child and began seriously pursuing a career in publishing in 1981. A writing class convinced her that writing a novel wasn't as easy as it looked, but she finished her first manuscript in a few months and began work on another...and then another. Her first book was published by Dell in 1984, and after writing eight novels under the pseudonym of Karen Whittenburg, she became a Harlequin American Romance author and began publishing as Karen Toller Whittenburg in 1987. Karen credits her love of daydreaming as the catalyst for her life as a writer. She is currently at work on her next novel.
