Evidence of War, Book 2, continues with, the humans and transplanted Sabretooth Restans having begun a military alliance. While they were natural enemies in the ancient past on Earth, they must join together to protect themselves from the alien Devils which long ago devastated all the sentient races in our part of the galaxy.  While sharing military technology has progressed well, the humans have a secret they have not yet shared. A secret project started long ago to trick and ambush any alien fleet approaching Earth, work on this is also progressing.  But a human convoy from that secret star system is found and destroyed, and two Star-Guardians responding to the attack also are attacked, destroying one and badly damaging the other.  As human and Restan warships battle the advanced guard of the Devil aliens, the humans launch a secret mission deep inside alien space. And now the mysterious ships called "Watchers" reveal there is yet another race transplanted from Earth thousands of years ago. The "Ambassador" and Admiral Hooker are called back into service to find this race and bring them into our aliance. But do they still survive, or have they already been the victims of the Devils? They come from the Constellation of the Devil every few thousand years to destroy all sentient life. This time, they are in for a surprise! Book 3 of the Evidence of War series finds the humans and Restans hoping to spring the trap on the Amferians. Also the humans, led by Admiral Hooker on the converted Star-Guardian Ambassador, are trying to convince the transplanted Neanderthals, now known as the Batkans, to join the fight.  Meanwhile, the Amferian devils have sent a powerful fleet against one of the Batkan colonies, and only an old Star-Guardian, a brand new, untested Star-Guardian, and a small squadron of Restans are in a position to intercept them. A larger still enemy fleet is gathering, but will their next target be the planet code-named Midway, where the trap will be sprung, or will they divert directly to Restas or even Earth?

After the discovery of Sumerian slaves on a planet occupied by the Amferians is leaked out, pressure builds to rescue them. But another, even more powerful political group on Earth, called "Defend Earth First," has also been growing in influence. Despite the smashing victory at star system Midway, Admiral Willowdean Halsey is sidelined for "rest." Torn between these two competing pressure groups, it seems nothing will be done about the Sumerians, and Earth will retreat into a defensive posture. Then the Russian president offers elite troops called Spetsnaz to invade planet Sumer and save the slaves. It is up to the United Space Force to get them there, and protect them afterward. Thus is launched what soon becomes nicknamed Operation Shoestring, because Earth's forces are no where near prepared to invade another planet. Or to maintain a defensive force there. Meanwhile, the Restans have decided to not be involved in this human operation. But how long with they sit on the sidelines when the opportunity to destroy enemy fleet units presents itself?

After many skirmishes and four major fleet engagements, Admiral Willowdean "Willie" Halsey wants to strike at the home system of the evil Amferian devils to end the war once and for all. When an attack on the Batkan colony at star system Coral kills millions of humans, the people of Earth finally unite and authorize the attack.
