About this series
Eighty five years ago a multiverse called the Nexus was ravaged by war. A war that threatened to not only destroy itself, but consume every realm beyond it should the evil within escape.
The Nexus contained an avatar of Balance, a child by the name of Kraner. He summoned the most powerful alternate versions of himself scattered throughout the multiverse with the help of a Grand Enchanter who had learned the secrets of temporal manipulation. The Enchanter, Silver Arcanus Quillrean, tore a rift in the paths of time so that all of the beings needed for this mission would exist at the same time and space, creating a group of Guardians to combat the threat ahead.
All nine Guardians were summoned to the Eternal Nexus. All of them powerful and immensely prepared for the war at hand, and it took them all to merely shatter the great demon known as Kanj'ranesh. With his fragmented essence scattered throughout the multiverse, and his armies of Raunsekea and Nal'resh sent scuttling to the shadows, the Nexian Guard thought their fight was finally over.
Present day, a Raunsekea mother-ship was spotted obliterating an entire planet. Nal'resh soldiers were reactivated and entire colonies of survivors from the war were culled, their planets scavenged for resources and left as naught but husks of their once beautiful state.
The slumbering agents of the Nexian Guard once again were called to arms, and their search began.
Our story begins on a planet like many others that had been brought to the Guard's attention. A planet headed down the path of destruction as it was just beginning to take many other universes' with it. The whispers of Kanj'ranesh are becoming louder every day, but no one knows who or what is uttering that cursed name...
The Eternal Nexus, the Barren Utopia, is once again called to arms.
"Deoh'Cohrrahss, rrno eeohzeze zekaess ahnoshkze. Balance, no matter the cost."
