Allison M. Azulay
Born to Canadian parents of mixed, predominantly British heritage, Allison M. Azulay spent her formative years in a village outside of the capital city of Ottawa and her teen years in the steel city of Hamilton, Ontario. Like her mother, she read voraciously, and she composed stories of her own at home as well as in school. Later, encouraged by her husband to explore her ideas and talents, she joined a writers' group under author Richard Taylor of Ottawa and took a correspondence course with Roger Brunt of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. She wrote magazine articles, poems, short stories, children's storybooks for relatives, and more. After the death of her husband, she began to write and independently publish novels. Now, she has added e-book short stories to her repertoire. More novels and a screenplay are in the works. Allison's Quick-Read books are short stories for those with little time to read, for those who want something to pass the time while waiting (for the bus to arrive, for the roast to cook, for the doctor to finish with other patients...), and also for those who just don't feel inclined to read long tales.
